The Signature Series Octagon SS200-36 Fast Truss Newtonian really is something special, and was the brief to create the dream small Truss that has stunning looks and performance and will be the epitome of a modern almost travel friendly AstroGraph.

It won't be cheap...

Based around the well known 1935 Serrurier Truss design structure, we have lightened and stiffened the OTA and utilised aerospace grade materials such as Titanium Truss plates and square (25% stiffer than round) Carbon-Fibre profiles for the trusses for maximum performance as standard.

Boasting either a lightweight quartz coated mirror or Shott® Zerodur® Ceramic Mirror which can reduce the mass by up to 65% makes it possible for a truly portable fast imaging AstroGraph that can be used on a belt drive HEQ5 or CEM25EC mount for the ultimate portable imaging rig. This would even work on an AstroTrac TT320X-AG.

Like other OTA's in the Octagon family, the Signature Series is a RC/Newtonian version of our innovative Zero7Gee focuser or you can select from a choice of branded focuser options. A Signature Series Coma corrector is supplied as Standard.

Our own 18 point mirror cell design features a sculptured SS triple fan ducted cooling array for even faster cooling, and up top a built-in heater for the secondary mirror is standard. Magnetic covers for both mirrors protect the optics when not in use, and there is an optional Armadillo cover to eliminate any stray light externally.

The two lighter but strong Losmandy plates still provide strength with the folding 'Pentandle' as standard.  

Only two colours - Dwarf Red or Deep Purple. The upgraded Titanium fasteners and the lacquered 3D Venus Weave Carbon-Fibre Trusses scream high tech beauty with performance to match. 

You can even have your name etched into the OTA Truss Plate. (optional)

Each Telescope will come with a serial number, a unique Telescope Build Identification Number (TBIN) and a Logbook.

Production ready models are currently being readied for demonstration and final testing during November 2015 for the FTN200-4 and FTN300-4 models, with the 250mm FTN250-4 and FTN400-45 being added shortly after.
