Sharpstar announces the newest addition to its Askar FRA series, the Askar FRA600/5.6. Following the excellent optical performance of its first FRA400/5.6, the FRA600/5.6 is an evolution of the FRA series, an upgraded lens with 108mm aperture and 600mm focal length, the f/ratio is still f/5.6, and the image circle is 66mm that surpasses a full frame!

The FRA600 is a refractive astrograph designed with built-in flat field correction, however due to its generous back focus, it can also be used for visual observations with great success.

Like the FRA 400, the FRA600 is also a quintuplet Petzval-like telescope with 600mm focal length, f/5.6 focal ratio and 108mm aperture. To achieve the highest optical quality, it features two special ED glasses at the front, triplet part of the design.

The two lenses in the rear group have 80mm diameter that effectively reduces the occurrence of decreased field illumination. With the precision lens manufacturing, this telescope obtains theoretical optimal pinpoint stars, bringing you beautifully round stars and clean detailed image.

The FRA600 comes fitted with a large 4.2" rack and pinion focuser and includes the standard 1:10 micro-adjustment knob, the focuser raises the payload to a pro level, offers smooth operation when heavy imaging equipment and accessories are attached, all without slipping, to offer a great performance.

The focuser features multiple connection threads as a standard, thus future proves your investment. Askar offers a standard conical extension tube with M68x1, M54x0.75 and M48x0.85 threads to connect various photography equipments.

Mechanically, the FRA600 has a tube diameter of 120mm and a retractable dew-shield. With the dew-shield retracted, the total length is only 493mm, making it a great portable 4" astrograph.

A set of multifunctional red anodized tube rings that include mounting points on three sides (in addition to the base), makes it easy to attach accessories such as a guidescope, finderscope, ASIAIR PRO, Primaluce Lab Eagle, Eagle Core or other similar devices.

In addition to supporting wide field astrophotography, the FRA600 is also perfect for high quality observation, provides complete lack of chromatic aberration and let you create images with impressive contrast of realistic visual experience.

Even if the FRA600 was just a triplet APO refractor, the price would be reasonable, but for a 4.3" Quintuplet Super APO FRA600 Astrograph, with its unprecedented build, finish and features, the FRA 600 offers unbelievable value for an astrograph in this price range.
